"The craic and the history at Cúchulainns is second to none - and one of the few London clubs to boast both a Hurling and Football team. With many past and recent successes including the London Intermediate Football League Champions of 2003 we're confident of even greater success in the future!"

"We've been in existence since 1932, one of the longest running clubs in London GAA history and we're immensely proud of that tradition and aim to carry on the successes of the teams that have gone before us. SE London GAA is alive and well and living at Cúchulainns!"

London Hurling

London Hurling - Hurling in London

London Hurling received a massive boost this year (2005) when London won the inaugral Liam Rackard Trophy - the Tier 3 All-Ireland championship. They did so by defeating a determined Louth side by 5-8 to 1-5 in the final. The London hurling team are now promoted to the Tier 2 hurling championship next year, the Christy Ring Cup, where they will come up against much stiffer opposition with the likes of Antrim, Down, Meath and others waiting for them.

The current London hurling team draws on players from all over Ireland who base themselves in London. There were 4 Antrim, 4 Cork, 3 Tipperary, and 2 Kilkenny men among others in this years Liam Rackard winning squad.

Here at the Cuchulainn-Puirseil hurling club we aim to further develop our squad over the coming years by attracting more high quality players moving to London to join us in our quest to build the Cuchulainn-Puirseil club into the best hurling club in London. We have no doubt that great things will happen with the Cuchulainn-Puirseil hurling club in the next few years with great opportunities for competing for the London Senior Hurling title.

On another note, some people don't actually realise that the London Hurling team have one All-Ireland Hurling title to their name, as well as one Liam Rackard trophy. London won the All-Ireland hurling title back in 1901, back in the days when there were Home and Away finals where the home winners took on London for the All-Ireland title. In this period, London appeared in 4 finals in a row, winning one of them as mentioned in 1901. That year they beat Cork by 1-5 to 0-4.

See below for the scorers and details of this years Nicky Rackard Cup Final:
