Cu Chulainns GAA Senior Hurling and Football training 2018. All interested are welcome to come along.


Tuesday & Thursday nights @ 7.30 – We train at OLD SHOOTERSHILLIAN Sports & Social Club, Mayday Gardens, Broadwalk, KIDBROOKE, LONDON, SE3 8NP. (This is on grass so studs required) Closest rail station is Kidbrooke. Lifts available if required from Lewisham, Blackheath or Kidbrooke

We cater for hurling and gaelic football players from all over the greater London area but are predominantly south east based. As we are the only GAA club in the south east London we have people travelling to training and games from the following areas – Lewisham, New Cross, Greenwich, Deptford, Kidbrooke, Catford, Eltham, Clapham, Charlton, New Eltham, Vauxhall, Southwark, Surrey Quays, London Bridge, Nunhead, Peckham, Dulwich, Denmark Hill, Bexleyheath, Woolwich, Dartford, Canary Wharf, Isle of Dogs, Poplar, Canning Town, Silvertown, Hayes, Sidcup, Bromley,  Grove Park, Sydenham, Bellingham, Gravesend, Welling and many areas of Kent.

PICKUPS AND CONTACTS If anyone needs to be picked up from any nearby train stations to be taken to training just contact one of our Club Officers by calling one of their numbers from our Contact Us page.

HOW TO FIND THE TRAINING GROUND BY ROAD Coming from north of the River Thames: Travel through the Blackwall Tunnel, take the third or fourth exit marked ‘local traffic’ after the Greenwich, Woolwich and Charlton turn-offs. (If you end up near the Sun In The Sands pub, you have come off one exit too early, continue round the roundabout and back on to the motorway and take the next exit). Turn left at Rochester Way at the top of the slip road and Broad Walk is first on the left. About 7 humps up Broad Walk, Mayday Gardens will be there on the right.

Coming from Kent: Travel along the A2 and then pick up the old Rochester Way at the Falconwood Cemetery turn-off. Continue over the Well Hall roundabout and Broad Walk is a mile down on the right opposite Nelson Mandela Road.

Coming from South London: You need to find Kidbrooke Park Road, which is at the end of the A20 or a turning off the Blackheath to Shooters Hill road. Pick up the Rochester Way and Broad Walk is 300m yards down on the left.


BY BUS The 286 service: From Greenwich and Blackheath or from Eltham High Street, stops in Rochester Way near the foot of Broad Walk. There are various other buses from a lot of the surrounding areas such as Woolwich that pass nearby.

BY TRAIN British Rail mainline  (South Eastern Railway): Trains leave from Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge and Cannon Street. Take the Dartford train via Bexleyheath and alight at Kidbrooke Station.From Dartford, take the Bexleyheath line to Kidbrooke. The training ground is a 12 minutes walk from here. From Dartford, take the Bexleyheath line to Kidbrooke.
